I had a wonderful experience at this Uyghur restaurant! Every dish was full of rich, authentic flavor. The lamb skewers were especially amazing – perfectly seasoned and tender. The dumplings were incredibly juicy and delicious. On top of that, the staff were warm and very attentive, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try authentic Uyghur cuisine!

The best Xinjiang food in Cambridge!
Absolutely blown away by the flavours here! We had the stir-fried noodles with beef, lamb skewers, and a spicy noodle soup — every single dish was bursting with rich, bold spices and perfectly cooked. The lamb skewers were juicy and tender, just like the ones you’d find in China. The stir-fried noodles had the perfect chew and soaked up the sauce beautifully.
The portion sizes are generous, the presentation is authentic, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. If you’re looking for real Xinjiang cuisine in Cambridge, this place is a must-visit. Already planning to come back again soon!- Food

I visited Xinjiang region - Yili, Urumchi and the areas of the Silk Road more than 20 years ago - coming to Cambridge to discover Uyghur cuisine is such a treat. Rich flavours that are a blend of oriental and Middle Eastern. The lamb skewers will tantalise and the mouth numbing chilli dishes are flavoursome.

Was recommended to me by my friend and decided to go for a quick supper, ordered a bowl of spicy noodles, the noodles were perfectly cooked and had a great texture, the soup was aromatic and refreshing. Above all, the service was excellent. A great way to end a long tiring day.

I had fantastic experience at Karamay. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The beef and vegetable noodles had a burst of flavour, if I could walk in the kitchen and tip the chef , trust me I would . The staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking or quality food and great service at reasonable price. Will definitely be coming back!
